Acai-aslim: is it a Scam?

When purchasing any weight loss product, it is important to do your research. Many people are exchanging their opinions about Acai-aSlim on DietBlogTalk.com

Overview

Acai Berries are so popular these days, it seems like everyone is trying to get in on the superfood action. From drinks to shakes to supplements, Acai is finding its way into a lot of wellness enhancers, and for good reason: it’s nutritious! But some manufacturers, like the company behind Acai-aSlim, have decided to promote these berries in a different way. Acai-aSlim, for example, claims that the supplement will “flush pound after pound” of toxins from the dieter’s body. There’s a slight hiccup, however. Acai Berries are known neither for their weight loss abilities nor their cleansing properties.

Ingredients at a Glance

Acai-aSlim contains Acai, Noni, Resveratrol, and Green Tea.

Ingredients in Focus

Acai contains various minerals, proteins, and lipids, or “good” fats. It also delivers antioxidans. Its high nutritional value classifies it as a superfood, but it would seem to have little to do with cleansing or detoxification.

Noni Fruit, or Indian Mulberry, is high in carbohydrates and dietary fiber as well as being a good source of protein. It contains substantial amounts of vitamins and minerals as well. However, these nutrients reside in the whole fruit, and not in the juice of the Noni Fruit. We’re not sure how a pill can deliver Noni’s nutrients.

Resveratrol is a compound contained in many superfoods. It may have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-infective properties.

Green Tea is thought to increase the body’s metabolism. The extract also delivers caffeine and has been known to cause negative side effects including nausea, insomnia, nervousness, elevated heart rate and increased blood pressure. Green Tea may be the only claim Acai-aSlim has on weight loss – and it’s not a very convincing one at that.

Positives

•    Acai Berries are good for you.

Negatives

•    Acai-aSlim seems an unlikely cleanser and weight loss supplement.

•    Website is generally unhelpful.

•    Looks like a scam.

Final Thoughts

Acai-aSlim is not a very convincing cleanser. We recommend shopping for a detoxification and/or weight loss supplement from a more reputable company. Peruse the links below for more healthy, less suspicious options. There is nothing wrong with cleansing and weight loss supplements, and there is nothing wrong with eating Acai Berries. But Acai-aSlim has the relationship confused.

Acai-aSlim & Colon cR- Do they work?
I ordered both of these products using the ‘free trial – just pay for shipping’ spiel then realized they are a money scam, charging EXCESSIVE amounts of money after the free trial. I immediately canceled my credit card before any additional charges were made thus was able to avoid any future charges or shipments.

My question is, though they are a money scam, do they actually work? I’ve received both bottles of samples, but have yet to try them because of my fear that if these products are money scam, are the pills themselves any good?

Has anyone actually tried these pills? Do they really work? Other than the scam issues, which I was able to avoid by canceling my credit card, are there any downsides to actually using the pills?
Thank you so much for the links, but I’d really like an answer from someone who’s actuallly used these specific products, but truly… thanks for the info.

As far as I can tell, there are no proven weight loss benefits from the acai berry, juice, or capsules.

It does seem to be a great supplement (I take it, but don’t sell the stuff!) and is full of anti oxidents, which help prevent damage to your body. But that’s what you should take it for, not weight loss or fat burning.

The acai berry itself is an amazing thing – has a lot of anti oxidents etc and is really good for you.

But there’s nothing really to suggest in scientific terms that it helps with weight loss.

And there are a lot of scams out there, be careful where you buy it from!

I take it, and I think I feel healthier and better. But it’s not some type of magic formula, sorry.

You can buy it in different forms – juice, capsules, etc. Or as a powder which you can add to other juices or smoothies.

You can buy it online, but be careful. Lots of sites selling it have a "free offer" thing, but to get it you have to sign up to a programme which sends you the stuff every month and bills you huge sums of money. Personally, I wouldn’t buy from a website which is a company I’ve never heard of, there are too many scam artists in the business. If you are looking on-line, personally I’d go for a company which sells more than just one thing, and has a range of supplements or juices, they are more likely to be in it for the long term and not ripping you off.

You can also buy it in local health food shops, do a search for ones near you. I’ve bought it from Amazon, and from Holland and Barrett, which is a UK health food shop.

There are many people around which complain that Acai Berry does not work, but they don’t know that they’re using fake products!
Thanks to this blog, it helped me a lot to choose the best.
    Hope this helps :-)
